This post was originally published in 2012 but we love the Social Justice Project and wanted to revisit some of these great stories.
This is how the story of Rosa Parks begins (by Nya, elementary).
They called me Rosa “The Shocker” Parks.
First, I was born on February 4, 1938. I am from Tuskegee, Alabama. I was a great person. Second, I went to jail many times. The first time was because I didn’t give up my seat to a white person. I got arrested and a bus boycott began. I had many experiences. I worked endlessly to get rights for African American people. I wanted them to get the same rights everybody had. In conclusion, I was a great Social Justice leader.
My name is Rosa Parks.
To be continued…
