The Great Lilly Pad

This is how the story of The Great Lilly Pad begins (by Rachel., grade 8).

I am a Lilly Pad and I am mostly painted by Claude Monet. He likes painting everything around me and he also likes painting other things  that are natural like things that don’t live around me. Claude also likes the same thing I see every morning I see a sun rise and he likes painting those to. I live in the mucky swamps in the rivers and lakes also in ponds and slues. My owner Claude died of lung cancer so I don’t get painted that much any more. Claude was really good at painting me because he started out drawing when he was little.
