This is how the story of Warhol Flowers begins (by Arial K., grade 8).

Hello my name is Warhol Flowers! In the 1960’s I was painted by a famous artist named Andy Warhol. He was very famous for painting in the style of Pop Art.

Pop art is where they artist paints a picture with strange colors and then repeats the painting four times on the same sheet. Andy Warhol was born in Pittsburgh on August sixth 1929. In 1945 he studied at Carnegie Institute of Technology until 1949. His interest included painting famous people such as Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley and himself. He also made movies. Even though the movies weren’t very successful he still made over three hundred films. One was called sleeping and was just a man sleeping for eight hours!

Sadly, he died February twenty second 1987. He will be remembered for founding an art studio in 1962 called The Factory. The Factory was a place where they would print posters of the artists artwork. They would also press the artwork onto clothing such as shirts and bags. By the public he was known as the “Prince Of Pop” because he was believed to be the person who started the pop art. _______________________________
