(Kansas City) -- The Kansas City Royals have placed right-handed pitcher Zack Greinke on the 15-day injured list.
Greinke has right posterior elbow soreness and the IL stint is retroactive to August 7th.
Left-handed pitcher Taylor Hearn was recalled from Triple-A Omaha.
