(Shenandoah) -- The KMA Sports Hall of Fame added another member on Saturday with the induction of former Shenandoah state wrestling champion Tyler McGinnis.
McGinnis was a star multi-sport athlete at Shenandoah, but it was wrestling where he arguably made his largest mark in compiling 186 victories against just five losses over the course of his four-year career.
The 152-pound state champion in 2000 also had finishes of second, third and third at the state tournament. McGinnis was one of just seven wrestlers in the Hawkeye Ten Conference to win four titles at four different weight classes.
At Saturday's Class 2A sectional meet in Shenandoah, McGinnis was officially inducted into the inaugural class of the KMA Sports Hall of Fame. The presentation was broadcast live on KMA 960 and captured by KMA's Trevor Maeder.
