We have spent so many years talking about getting rural broadband up to speed with the rest of urban America. A lot of funding has been coming in to help close that gap. Now, it is just a matter of getting it all done. So, if you feel that you still need to get better internet out to your farm, rest assured that there is funding available.

Rick Cimerman is the VP of State Affairs for the NCTA – The Internet and Television Association. He talks about how investment funds can best be used for broadband in rural America.

State leaders have ways of making sure those funds are used to their maximum potential. This way rural broadband is delivered as quickly and efficiently as possible.

He says it is also up to broadband providers to join the partnership to get this job done quickly.

Residents also can get the ball rolling if they feel they need to take the bull by the horns.
