REPOSTING: Nelson Mandela

This post was originally published in 2012 but we love the Social Justice Project and wanted to revisit some of these great stories.

This is how the story of Nelson Mandela begins (by Justin, elementary).

I was president of South Africa. First, I was born in 1915. Back then there was violence. Next, I went to prison. I fought for equal rights in South Africa. I went to jail for over 20 years. Finally, I became president of South Africa, when I returned the African cheered. They said thank you, are our president.

I am Nelson Mandela.

To be continued…

Nelson Mandela (WES17) is part of a series of Social Justice Leader rocks created by students of Whittier ece-8 in Colorado. We invite you to visit all WES rocks and submit your comments and feedback.

If you have found this rock or would like to continue this story, let us know!
