This is how the story of Mahatma Gandhi begins (by Shia, elementary).
The called me their “helper.” I was born on October 2nd, 1869 in Probandar. I used non-violent methods to help the people in India. These methods included boycotting British goods. The Indians saw me as a spiritual and political leader who worked to improve the economic and social conditions of my country. I led thousands on a 200-mile protest march to call attention to my message of tolerance.
I am Mahatma Gandhi.
